Reflecting back on the past year and looking forward to a brighter 2013! The holidays are a time for giving and receiving, and one way you can help make someone’s holiday a little brighter by giving to those who need it. You can make a valuable impact today by donating to organizations that make a difference in people's lives. As well as the gift of money, you can also help spread the warmth of goodwill by volunteering locally. Experience the deeply rewarding payoff that comes from making someone else happy. It's a win win for everyone. Being grateful for what we have and practicing random acts of kindness can have physiological benefits such as:

Increased immune system
Improved Cognitive Performance
Increase in energy
Lower heart rate
Balanced cortisol levels which result in less internal stress
More likely to live a longer and more satisfied life
Laughter and inner joy resulting in decreased stress hormones; lower blood pressure; diminished pain

Knowing this lets fill every day of the year with thanksgiving and kindness! We hope everyone’s holiday is filled with cheer and love. Thanks for reading!
